We recommend crate training for your new puppy. Your goal with crate training is to get the puppy fully house trained and not chewing up everything in sight. Once you have accomplished this, you should not need the crate, although many dogs love to have their own "room" That they can go to to have a break from their surroundings.
We recommend the 22" Crate for a Lhasa Apso, but the one with the divider for the first few days of puppy training.
I hate messes in puppy pens, but I also know that my pups need to have access to food and water. Solution. I got hanging water and food bowls for each pen. These are small enough for a meal, but big enough that they don't run out of water after a single drink.
I've gotten multiple variations of this bed. I love that they flip inside out to clean the creases, They are machine washable and I dry mine in the dryer as needed. If I line dry them, they don't take forever to dry. They have the bolster sides which are a godsend. If you have a puppy accident, spilled food, or debris from coming in from outside, it collects and can be Shaken outside for quick cleanup before washing. I've tried many styles and these are the best. Make sure you select the 22" or 24" for the 22" crate. I prefer the 22" but I've used both and they fit.
